Gizmo: ScratchX Compatible Robotic AI Platform Gizmo is a simple Arduino robot based on PopPet that was created by Jaidyn Edwards, that children can customize and program. We adopted this robot into our GenAI project as a simple, do-it-yourself robot that students could use to develop hands-on AI projects. Combining Gizmo with ScratchX and Machine Learning for Kids blocks allows students and teachers . We have developed software to connect the Gizmo robot to Chromebooks and created a number of Scratch tutorials to get children started.
